yay, I finished the painting and delivered it to it's new owners yesterday.

excuse the terrible photos...

each canvas is 9 by 10 inches, acrylic, fabric, paper and thread.

Thanks to everyone who left such sweet and encouraging comments about the color comp. Teri (the girl that it was comissioned for) received the painting this morning and called me to tell me that she loved it, it's going in their bedroom..woo hoo!

Just got back from 5 days in one of my most favorite cities in the world, Seattle.
Keith and I visited my oldest and dearest friend Christine and her husband to be, Rob.
Lots of quatlity time and lots... did I say LOTS of good food was had.
Above are two Jonathan Adler birds we gave to Rob and Christine as wedding gifts.

I've been playing with the fun rub on text that Sabine gave me, admittedly..I have no idea how to use it so it's looking a bit janky.

did anyone listen to Teri Gross interview Willie Nelson on Fresh Air?
He's promoting his new book the Tao of Willie.
he is amazing, he talks about his friends, his traditional family up bringing,  picking cotton, driving a cadillac across the country on hemp oil, it's too early in the morning
for me to go on about him...but I think I love him.

Here's a lovely page from a 70's Danish Magazine, also a score from Sabine (you're the best!)
The Piet Mondrian colors, and the fabric on the little seating area are genius.

I also love the piece below, the match boxes give such good texture and shape, it reminds me of my friend Danyol's  work in San Francisco, he often include match boxes in his work....
