i hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
Like many of us state side, I'm still enjoying my extended holiday weekend.
It's been bloody hot these past few days, and although my mind wanted this weekend to be full of crafting, my body said "get the hell out of here, find some water and immerse"
and that's exactly what we've been doing. We're lucky enough to live about 5 blocks away from the Standard Hotel in downtown where their roof top pool is open to the public.
gorgeous views and refreshing cocktails...it's the next best thing to having ones own oasis.
We've already managed to go twice this weekend!
the hotel is very minimalist with very clean lines, which makes this cute Hippo Trash all the more cuter.
speaking of cute, I saw these at Jon's supermarket in Hollywood
yum.
Oooh, I wish there was a pool like that in Ebisu! And I love the hippo trash can.

Jons market has a russian influence. My dad bought some pomagrante syrup there, because it was tempting, but we have yet to taste it. The rooftop pool at the Standard is amazing. I love the fact that you are enveloped within the buildings in downtown LA. Films are also played on the large wall above the gym. You have two activies going on simultaneously; bar/club scene and people working out. Its also a workout to get to that pool, so many doors and hallways.

The pool I go to is a public pool in a wealthier part of town... not many people know about it other than the trophy wives and gay men that live in the neighborhood. It's the best behaved public pool ever. HA!
