Hi everyone!! Happy New Year! It’s been so long since my last post, I’ve been itching to update this place and catch up with all of you☺
2008 is going to be an amazing year for me, filled with lots of new and exciting life changes. The 1st biggie, Keith and I are getting married in February!!! We’ve always agreed that our lives have been pretty great the way its’ been, and the only reason to get married would be if we had kids, which leads me to biggie number 2 dun dun dun…yep, we’re expecting our 1st this May, and it’s a boy!!! We both thought it was a girl for months and months, so we were really shocked when we found out yesterday, but we’re so ding dang happy. Yipeeee!!
Here is a pic of our wedding invitations that we’ve gocco’d, so much fun.
We’re keeping the wedding very small and intimate, family style. I’ll post the complete versions once we send them out.

It's true, I've been dreaming up pillows for a sofa I don't even have yet...I wanted to have a few made before the sofa arrives next Sunday...I only got as far as the sketches.
I had grand craft plans for this weekend but, lots of other fun activities got in the way.
A little football in front of our building, walking around in our neighborhood, cooking the best roast chicken ever (the simplest recipe I've tried, yet yielded the most amazing results!!), attending Lisa's Reform School show, AND finally admitting to myself that I needed to sort out my craft area. Ah....don't you just love the feeling of freshly organized fabrics? Maybe it feels so great, because you know it's fleeting, I garwantee this will be destroyed in no time.
We had a bit of a scare last Wednesday, Bear caught a cold and was running a fever of 104.
The vet sent us home with some medication and a syringe to give him Gatorade (for the dehydration) God, it was gut wrenching to see him not eating, and being so lethargic. But I'm happy to report that the little trooper has been getting better and better every day!

My first contribution to the the upcoming group show Plush Week 2.
She's still a work in progress, a few more finishing touches...
I'm having so much fun experimenting with stitches. Her eyes and nose are made from wool roving (which I've never tried.)
more friends to come...

new stockings for Keith and I, Linen, vintage cotton and felt lining.

I"ve been into linen as of late, here's a tote...linen and cotton
this post will mark my 100th post!
I'm so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful community, and I thank each and everyone one of you for inpiring me everyday.
I also thank Lisa and Stephanie
for organizing this wonderful benefit. Like so many of you I was so touched and affected by the Kim Family's story.
The benefit details will be announced this Friday, so please stay tuned.
The lovely miss Sabine Brandt invited fellow bloggers to create stickers for her amazing graphic design firm Sisterbrandt.
As you can see, the stickers I've submitted do not exactly fit Sisterbrandt's chic aesthetic, but I think her idea was to enlist lots of different designs from around the world. What a great idea! Thanks Sabine for letting me partake in the fun, hope you can use them!
Marieke 's sticker is already up on Sabine's site, so cute!

Marieke of Treats and Treasures received my package the other day, so now I can show you some of the things I included in her parcel. I had so much fun making this boxy tote, I lined it with a fun pinky fabric.

Here's a little robot cut out illo. You can see more photos of my swap for Marieke here.

yay, I finished the painting and delivered it to it's new owners yesterday.
each canvas is 9 by 10 inches, acrylic, fabric, paper and thread.
Thanks to everyone who left such sweet and encouraging comments about the color comp. Teri (the girl that it was comissioned for) received the painting this morning and called me to tell me that she loved it, it's going in their bedroom..woo hoo!
