my best craft project ever!!!

IMG_3895 Exactly 2 days after my last post, our world turned upside down (in the best possible way)!
Akira arrived 3 weeks early!!! 6 pounds 6 ounces, of pure love and cuddliness.
Our little guy, is doing fabulously and we’re enjoying our time as a new family.

Champ

We went to the beach the other day, so I whipped up this hat (based on the Lotta pattern) I had to get him in on the gingham action early, heh

Hello
I can spend hours staring at him, finding bits and pieces of his dad and me amongst his perfect little face

Babies are fun!!!!!

gettin' ready

Birdything
I'm not sure what this is for but it's super cute, found it at a thrift store, it's marked made in Japan.
Cotton Balls maybe?

Newmug

My new favorite thrifted mug, also made in Japan.

Babystuff
Our newest roomate is soon to arrive, he's due in 3 weeks!
Our friends have been so incredibly generous, most everything we've been stockpiling have been gifts and lovingly used hand me -downs.
Look at those cute little VANS!!!

Sheets

We plan to share our room with our little guy for a while, our friends gave us this very handy "co-sleeper" but
it needed some brightening  up so I made a few different sheets for the mattress. The numbers fabric was an old kids bed sheet I found at Ikea a few years ago, the animal sheets and the little boy and girl head sheets are vintage.

Room
We started converting our studio into the baby's room about a month ago, we're almost finished with it (the above pic was taken a while back) I'll post picks when we're all done!

Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend !!!

card party

Cards
Hi Everyone!!!!! It's been way too long!
My computer issues have been resolved, and I'm back in blog action :)

The cards above are both gocco'd with construction paper tags sewn on top.
The cards on top were our wedding invitations, the clouds don't show up as well on the vanilla color paper, I made the map in illustrator.
Below that is our thank you card, our wedding vows to each other were lyrics from Judas Priests' "Turbo Lover" , so perfect...hence the theme of the thank you card.

cozy up my music

Ipodcase

We're off to Hawaii tomorrow, and ipod needed a cozy.

totes galore

Wendybag

I made this oversized tote for my friend Wendy, a new mama.
Seersucker lined with cotton. (click for closer look) that's me on the right with my big baby belly

Hanatote
this is the opposite of oversized, it's a mini-tote for my friend Gina's little one year old, Hana.

Jackietweed
a christmas gift for my old friend Jackie, it's tweed lined with seersucker, I thought it was a fun contrasting combo, there are buttons on both sides.

patchworkn'

Coasters
a christmas gift to my mom

yoga mat cozy

Yogamat
things just sound cuter when you call it a cozy.
I made this for a friend's birthday, a true yoga aficionado. yep, still can't let go of the gingham.
It's based on the lovely Lotta Jansdotter pattern.

I've been in deep hibernation lately, but I miss crafting and getting inspiration from all of you.
My energy has been extremly low, and my list of gifts and orders to fill are growing.
I'm enjoying our recent cool weather, and getting lots of rest.

I hope to be back in full swing soon.

the send off

Family

ahhh! Where'd the rest of the summer go?
we've been trying to make the most out of our warm days here, bbqs, beach, outdoor shows,
but every spare moment I've had lately has been spent on these little guys. They're almost ready to go,
I plan on making some gocco price tags for them before I send them off to the shop.

Bunnybat
These two were commissioned from a friend in San Francisco, but they're final destination will be in PDX.
I love the fabric on the bunny, courtesy of Jenny from Wiksten-Made.

I'm anxious to get back into making clothes and bags and such, my studio will be a much more relaxing space now that it's cooling down here.

Have a fantastic week!
