my best craft project ever!!!

Exactly 2 days after my last post, our world turned upside down (in the best possible way)!
Akira arrived 3 weeks early!!! 6 pounds 6 ounces, of pure love and cuddliness.
Our little guy, is doing fabulously and we’re enjoying our time as a new family.



















We went to the beach the other day, so I whipped up this hat (based on the Lotta pattern) I had to get him in on the gingham action early, heh


I can spend hours staring at him, finding bits and pieces of his dad and me amongst his perfect little face

I'm not sure what this is for but it's super cute, found it at a thrift store, it's marked made in Japan.

Our newest roomate is soon to arrive, he's due in 3 weeks!
Our friends have been so incredibly generous, most everything we've been stockpiling have been gifts and lovingly used hand me -downs.

We plan to share our room with our little guy for a while, our friends gave us this very handy "co-sleeper" but
it needed some brightening  up so I made a few different sheets for the mattress. The numbers fabric was an old kids bed sheet I found at Ikea a few years ago, the animal sheets and the little boy and girl head sheets are vintage.

We started converting our studio into the baby's room about a month ago, we're almost finished with it (the above pic was taken a while back) I'll post picks when we're all done!
