the send off

ahhh! Where'd the rest of the summer go?
we've been trying to make the most out of our warm days here, bbqs, beach, outdoor shows,
but every spare moment I've had lately has been spent on these little guys. They're almost ready to go,
I plan on making some gocco price tags for them before I send them off to the shop.

These two were commissioned from a friend in San Francisco, but they're final destination will be in PDX.

I'm anxious to get back into making clothes and bags and such, my studio will be a much more relaxing space now that it's cooling down here.

This was one of my birthday gifts from Keith. A vintage Lasonic boom box that he gutted out and made into a beautiful lamp.
The image doesn't do this justice, the speakers have been replaced with beautiful veneer. It gives off the most subtle amber glow,
I just love the contrast of the warmth of the wood against the metallic parts.

I also got my very own Gocco ! I've been pining for one for so long, but haven't had time to sit down and play with it yet,
if any of you guys know of fun sites that help with technique, etc. I'd love to hear about it.
